1. Ethical Business Practices
- Our suppliers must conduct all business activities with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
- Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Suppliers must maintain fair and ethical relationships with their own suppliers, employees, and customers.
2. Environmental Sustainability
- Suppliers must prioritize environmental sustainability in their operations and production processes.
- Suppliers must minimize their environmental impact by reducing waste, energy consumption, and emissions.
- Suppliers must comply with all environmental regulations and strive for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
3. Social Responsibility
- Suppliers must respect and uphold human rights, including labor rights, throughout their operations.
- Suppliers must provide a safe, healthy, and respectful work environment for their employees.
- Suppliers must prohibit discrimination, harassment, child labor, forced labor, and other forms of exploitation.
- Suppliers must comply with minimum wage laws and ensure that all employees are paid at least the legally mandated minimum wage for their region and industry.
- Suppliers must comply with age regulations and ensure that all employees are of legal working age according to national laws and regulations.
4. Compliance with REACH Regulations
- Suppliers must comply with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulations.
- Suppliers must provide accurate and up-to-date information on the presence of restricted substances in their products and processes.
- Suppliers must ensure that all substances used in manufacturing, dyeing, printing, and finishing comply with REACH requirements.
5. Supply Chain Transparency
- Suppliers must maintain transparency and traceability throughout their supply chains.
- Suppliers must disclose information about the origin of materials, subcontractors, and production processes upon request.
- Suppliers must cooperate with MARTAN's audits and inspections to verify compliance with this code of conduct.
6. Quality and Compliance
- Suppliers must adhere to MARTAN's quality standards and specifications for materials, production, and finishing.
- Suppliers must ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations for safety, performance, and durability.
- Suppliers must promptly address any quality issues or non-compliance issues identified during production or inspection.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Suppliers must commit to ongoing improvement in environmental, social, and ethical performance.
- Suppliers must invest in training and development to enhance the skills and capabilities of their workforce.
- Suppliers must actively seek feedback from MARTAN and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
8. Compliance and Reporting
- Suppliers must promptly report any violations of this code of conduct or any incidents that may impact product quality, safety, or compliance.
- Suppliers must cooperate fully with MARTAN's investigations and corrective actions in response to reported violations or incidents.
- Suppliers must maintain confidentiality and protect whistleblowers from retaliation.
